"The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned"
- Maya Angelou
I had been wanting to shoot at a lavender farm but never made it last year. So when this mom agreed to doing a session at Ocimeae Lavender Farm in Webberville, MI, I was over the moon. Be sure to check out Ocimeae’s website at https://ocimeaelavenderfarm.com because it is definitely a slice of heaven right here in Ingham county.
I met up with one of my favorite families one evening in July. Apparently, we were on the tail-end of the lavender’s life, but it was still breath-taking. Next year, I would love to shoot here in late June/early July. The property has a beautiful barn off to the side, some gentle slopes, and a park-like mowed area in the center with several beautiful trees.
I hadn’t seen little Ms. O since her newborn session during the winter, so it is always such a treat to get to do another session for returning families. I also am obsessed with capturing motherhood photos, and we got too many favorites for me to share all of them! However, here are a few before I share some of the family photos from this session.
We had so many beautiful moment with the entire family and dad/daughter together as well.
